Metal Stoker (Japan) ROM

Metal Stoker is an awesome game, (one well before its time) and I cannot say enough good things about it. The player is in a tank with Weapons and Bomb systems.. Pretty basic huh? Then why am I raving about it?

I'll tell you

The tank is equipped with many different kinds of cannon weapons, and it's up to the player to decide which is best to use in each situation. The tank can rotate to fire in 8 directions, and the player could (For example) be moving left and firing to the right. Bombs can be left behind to assist in destroying advancing enemies in a pursuit situation.

There are many objectives to complete in each stage that range from navigating mazes and collecting orbs, activating doors by lighting lock lights in the proper order, and defeating powerful bosses all while avoiding enemy projectiles and destroying turrets and anything that moves. Once the objective for the area is completed an exit door opens and the player move on to the next area.

This game is tailor-made for gamers seeking an intense shooting game experience while also appealing to the adventurer, which is why I recommend this game to the intermediate to advanced shooter fans.
