Game Description & Reviews:
Takion Sun rates this game: 5/5This game is a wonderful addition to the Megaman franchise, the best, in my opinion. With a wide variety of weapons to use, lots of customization options to Megaman's Buster Gun, a colorful cast of enemies to fight, lots of treasures and easter eggs to find, and lots of dungeons to explore and loot, you won't want to put this Blue Boy down for a while! Worth a play by anyone who enjoys a fun, wholesome adventure. Be sure and play the first one before you do, though!
takato14 rates this game: 5/5Brilliant. Without a doubt the best game in the Megaman franchise.
This title builds off of the original's timeless appearance and gameplay by greatly increasing the size of the world and number of dungeons you can explore. There is a huge variety of enemies and the ominous atmosphere of the dungeons will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. The addition of a lock-on system greatly increases your combat skills, and the difficulty has been knocked up quite considerably, as has the magnitude of the rewards you receive for your hard work.
The story is gripping, the music is memorable, and the gameplay is fantastic. This game is flawless.
RedJoker25 rates this game: 5/5Best part of this game: they give a reason why you're starting off with nothing from Legends 1. That isn't to say the rest of the game is bad; it's just that most games forget this little tidbit, detracting from games' continuity.
As for the rest, the game moves at a fairly quick pace, going from island to island with a simple common quest on each: Get to the center to find what you're looking for. For the first couple of dungeons, this is a lost family member. For the main part of the game, this is a Key that enables you to find the "Mother Lode" but ends up finding the "Mother Ship" (Elysium). Once there, you again head towards the center, but your objective has changed from finding Roll's family to saving the planet.
At the end is probably the biggest cliffhanger (or planet-hanger) ever put into a game, one that has taken 10 years to be fully addressed in the form of a new game that is still only being developed. With this in mind, revisiting (or playing for the first time) this wondrous game would be a perfect way of introducing/refreshing yourself to a different, 3D Mega Man.
