Point Blank 2 (PSX)

Point Blank 2 came out on Apr 30, 1999, exactly a year after the original Point Blank. After the enormous success that Point Blank had, it was expected that Namco would try and milk the franchise further. And milk they did! Point Blank 2 scores over the first in almost every respect. Keeping all the good stuff from the original, Namco added a few new modes such as Turf War, and Point Blank Castle. Also, improvements in level design are obvious. Now there are collectible items throughout levels which help you gain lives, etc. Besides this, you also get to shoot through automobile windows, shattering glass, adding ofcourse to all the chaos :)
The tournament and team modes are pretty good. However, the best new mode has to be the turf war. Up to four players battle for blocks on a layout of a couple dozen squares. The player with the most squares in the end wins. You earn squares by selecting an opponent's square and challenging that person to a match. The puzzles you play here are the same puzzles you play throughout the various modes in the game.
Fans of Point Blank should definitely try out Point Blank 2 and those who haven't tried any of the Point Blank series before, this is a good place to start : )
